About LittleWeekenders
LittleWeekenders started with a simple, slightly desperate Friday-night question: what are we actually going to do with the kids tomorrow? The national listing sites are wide but shallow. They know the big paid attractions and miss the village fete two miles away, the lambing weekend at the local farm, the free rhyme-time at the library.
So we built the opposite. A deep, fresh, genuinely local guide to three counties, the Cotswolds, Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire, that puts the one thing parents really plan around front and centre: how far is the drive?
What makes us different
- Drive time on everything. Add your postcode once and every day out is sorted by the real road distance from your door, closest first.
- The little places. We champion the family-run farms, the heritage railways and the community events the big sites never list.
- Fresh every week. The weekend listings refresh through the week, and one friendly email lands every Thursday so you can plan ahead.
- Free for families, always. We are funded by venues who choose to feature, never by charging parents.
How we keep it honest
We visit places, we read the parent feedback, and we mark things like SEND-friendly provision carefully. If we get something wrong, tell us and we will fix it. If you run a family attraction or event, you can list it for free.
Looking after your family's data
We take this seriously because our audience is families. We store age bands, never dates of birth, and never any child's name. Your postcode is used only to measure distances, it is stored securely, and you can delete everything in one tap. Read the full privacy notice.
Your weekend, sorted — every Thursday.
Pop in your postcode and we will send the best family days out near you, with the drive time for each one, so you know what is a 10-minute hop and what is a proper day trip.
